Job purpose
- Coordinate and drive WaterAid Nepal’s (WAN) internal and external teams and Partners including the Government, WAN’s Aim 2 WASH in Public Health by providing a strategic contribution to strengthen WASH to improve The Public Health programme, planning, implementation, policy influencing and advocacy work.
- Guide internal WAN projects based on Public Health to navigate relevant policies, plans and adapt to their works. This includes hygiene integration, WASH in Health Care Facilities (WASH in HCF), Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH), and WASH into public health policy.Â
- Explore and initiate organizational learning on above pathways (HBC, WASH in HCF, MHH and policy influencing) for greater impact, and issues related to WASH and public health.Â
Team description
Internal: This position needs to coordinate with Programme and Policy Advocacy and Campaign (PAC) Teams; Business Development and Quality Assurance (BDQA) Team including PMER, QPS and communications; Project Leads/Managers; Regional and Global staff focusing on Public Health and WASH.
External: Relevant Government Ministries, Departments, Units at the Federal, Provincial and Local levels, Health Sector Actors/Partners (UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs, research institutes, private sector, etc.), donor representatives, etc.
Ess Development and Quality Assurance (BDQA) Team including PMER, QPS and communications; Project Leads/Managers; Regional and Global staff focusing on Public Health and WASH.Â
