Bagmati Welfare society Nepal (BWSN) is a local non-governmental organization established in Sarlahi district in 1995 AD with registration no. 65/2051 in District Administration Office (DAO), Sarlahi. It is also affiliated to Social Welfare Council (SWC) with registration no 13303 and NGO Federation Nepal. It is also institutionally associated with Human Right and Social Justice Forum–Nepal, NANGAN-Nepal NGO coordination committee, Sarlahi and Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) network. BWSN is primarily working for protecting and promoting human rights of marginalized, disadvantaged and vulnerable communities through developing their leadership and advocacy skills to claim their rights and engage in human rights promotion activities. BWSN has already implemented social and economic empowerment projects targeted to empowering marginalized and vulnerable communities especially women and girls (including to victims Gender Based Violence (GBV)) , Dalits, disadvantaged Madhesi and Muslim communities, single and pregnant women, differently able and elderly persons and other conflict victims for protecting and promoting their rights.

Designation: Medical Officer

Employment Type: Contract
Job Location: Field based local levels of Sarlahi, Rauthat, Sunsari, and Udaypur district
Educational level: Medical graduation from an institution recognized by Nepal medical council with valid registration in the Nepal Medical Council

Experienced required: Minimum 1 years of experience in reproductive health especially conducting uterine prolapse screening camps
Language: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Maithali, Nepali and English
No of vacancy: 2

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct  routine screening camp at different health facilities of different local levels
  • Performance of patient history and examination of uterine prolapse
  • Responding to the concern of women and prescribing quality medicine
  • Competent and thorough documentation of patients record in daily basis
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and record integrity
  • Collaboration with local health care officials and personnel of local levels
  • Management of health unit personnel and  available resources
  • Able to conduct camp in one days alternative
  • Provides health promotional and educational programs to different groups of community people
  • Follow up of the patients those who have already received the services
  • Daily travel to health facility and local levels.
  • Able to provide highest standard of medical care
  • Ensuring that all the health care regulations and safety standards are met

Designation: Counselor-2 and ring pessary insertion specialist-2 for  Nurse

Employment Type: Contract
Job Location: Field based local levels of Sarlahi, Rautahat, Sunsari, and Udaypur district
Educational level: SN/BN//BPH/Bsc. Nursing recognized by Nursing council with valid registration in the Nepal Nursing Council
Experienced required: Minimum 1 years of experience in reproductive health especially conducting uterine prolapse screening camps
Language: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Maithali, Nepali and English
No of vacancy: 4

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct  routine screening camp at different health facilities of different local levels
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and record integrity
  • Able to insertion and removal of ring pessary in womens and girls
  • Provides health promotional and educational programs to different groups of community people
  • Follow up of the patients those who have already received the services
  • Daily travel to health facility and local levels.
  • Able to provide highest standard of conservative management care
  • Ensuring that all the health care regulations and safety standards are met

Designation: Physiotherapist

Employment Type: Contract
Job Location: Field based local levels of Sarlahi, Rautahat, Sunsari and Udaypur district
Educational level: SN/BN/BPH/BSc. Nursing recognized by Nursing council with valid registration in the Nepal Nursing Council
Experienced required: Minimum 1 years of experience in reproductive health especially conducting uterine prolapse screening camps
Language: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Maithali, Nepali and English
No of vacancy: 2
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Kegals exercise teaching to al all eligible clients
  • Provides health promotional and educational programs to different groups of community people

Designation: Social Mobilizer (SM)

Employment Type: Contract
Job Location: Field based local levels of Sarlahi, Rautahat, Sunsari and Udaypur district
Educational level & Experience: Intermediate level passed from recognized institution/CMA/ANM with 2-year experience in social mobilization sector.
Language: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Maithali, Nepali and English
No of vacancy: 5
Duties and Responsibilities 

A. Planning, budgeting and reporting.

  • Carry out field survey through appropriate tools and methods prior for project planning and implementation
  • Assist in developing project strategy and planning.
  • Prepare training reports, case studies, learning documents and assist in preparation of overall program periodic report and monthly reports
  • Update and maintain Project relevant database.

B. Project Implementation, Monitoring and Supervision

  • Carry out Social mobilization activities to implement the WHaSS project.
  • Organize and facilitate project related meetings, trainings, and workshops to capacitate and empower all of the related people and ensuring active participation.
  • Motivate and aware UP patient their family, community and others, activities through different trainings/orientations and events.
  • Carry out regular field visit and support Health facility, lab and volunteer during project implementation.
  • Carry out all project related works as and when needed.

C. Coordination/ Linkages/ Lobbying and Advocacy

  • Maintain close linkage with Major Hospital, Health facilities, directly linked to project implementation.
  • Maintain close linkage with UP Patient and other volunteers
  • Liaison with government offices, local government units and other like-minded organization for coordination as necessary and appropriate
  • Assist to publicize BWSN’s work and profile at different forums and networks

D. Administrative and Managerial Duties

  • Ensure availability of all necessary training materials, stationary and other necessary materials for orientation  and workshops
  • Assist to organize different workshops and campaigns
  • Establish a good linkage with and finance staff and facilitate to provide all the required documents to finance

E. Child Protection Duties.

  • Follow and ensure organizational child protection policy is implemented.

F. Other Duties:

  • As required and requested by the Supervisor
